This is my ISU book cover. My book, "Love at first type" is an informative book about developing a successful relationship through online daing. My book offers; advice about dating, Hows to's, and real life stories about developed realtionships created from online dating.

I decided to take a playful approach with this assignment. I named my book "Love at first type," based on the classic quote "Love at first sight." I wanted to make my book cover pleasant and playful so I chose very bright colours and used random, funky shapes. I used "Goudy Stout" and "Eras Demi" fonts for the title and book description.

Typographic assignment

This is my Typographic Self-Portrait! I used only letters and symbols within this whole assignment except for the outline of my face; which I made with the paintbrush tool. I chose to keep it simple and unique... a way I would descibe myself sometimes. Generally I ran into little difficulties with this piece... the lips were probally what gave me the hardest time; they didn't look like lips my first couple of attemps. I'm very pleased with the outcome of my eyes, which in fact are "d"s laid on their side (ooo so creative)... Overall I'm happy with the way it turned out, it was a fun assignment and it actually looks like me... somewhat.

Anti-Smoking poster

This is my Anti-Smoking poster... pretty self-explanitory. The "theme" that I'm going with through out this whole assignment is "the cost of smoking" and the message that my poster portrays is that cigarettes are a waste of money.

My band is"Franz Liszt" and their album is called "Ask any Indian." The genre of music they create is Rock. Because the picture itself is so simple in colour and content, I decided to make the font, colour and positioning of the text simple aswell.

LCI skills tech challenge tshirt

This is the T shirt that I created for the "LCI tech skills challenge." The lightbulb represents "new ideas," which plays a big part technology. I typed out the title in Cambria font and created the jagged outline using the Line segment tool. I created the additional pieces of the lightbulb using the Paint Brush tool. I kept it simple, clean and organized because I thought it would be more appealing to the eye that way.

My band is called "Spyce" and their album is called "He might be disturbed." The genre of music that my band creates is Gothic Metal. The title is in dark red and in "chiller" font.

Elements & Principles of Design

This is my Elements and Principles of Design poster. I decided to put both Elements and Principles on one poster; Elements on the left, Principles on the right. To make my poster appealing, I used a variety of colours and balanced it out to give it a "clean and organized" look. I used "Book Antiqua" font for the title and for the descriptions I used "Bernhard Mordern Std." I noticed that there was not much colour going on at the top of the poster so I finished it off with a watercolour stoke of orange under the title.
